Bugs on the Farm, part 6

Okay, so this one's kind of pretty to be considered a 'creepy crawly' but I'm posting it anyway. They're all insects, after all (I guess except the spiders, but they're creepy enough to count!).

So here ya go - as bees in Kansas are revving their engines over newly opened hyacinths, this butterfly remembers last summer and the tiny delicious purple flower nectar it supped on for so long.

Check out the proboscis on this one! Going all the way out from its face and into that tubular little flower. Amazing. Its eyes were crazy, too - they were bulbous, curving outward away from its small head, and looked like they had a spotted tiger pattern. I live in an amazing world.
