gardens are flourishing with fresh herbs, radishes, baby carrots, new potatoes, onions, and garlic scapes... our meals involve less and less that comes from beyond this land. soon enough we'll have our own meat stored for the coming months.
my neighbors and i have been setting up a booth at the local farmer's market, featuring hand made books, tinctures, oils, salves, soaps, snacks, and fresh produce. our market boasts an average of 5-6 booths... spread the word, memphis missouri needs more local farmers coming to market! hah.
these things occupy my days. gardens, market, handcrafts, caring for the animals, fencing the gardens, staying cool in the summer heat. eating the good food. living the good life.
